The Noosa Regional Gallery has invited Zaishu to partake in their 'Flora' exhibition. Celebrating the flower in larger than life status: as a life force and environmental barometer. Zaishu prints feature flora inspired designs from 16th century woodblocks to contemporary interpretations of the Australian landscape.

Our latest slot-together seat/table features artwork by acclaimed Australian textile designer Nicola Cerini. The inspiration for her work evolved from an ecology camp about rare, native and vulnerable plants of East Gippsland. The Baw Baw Daisy is from that body of work and the Waratah is also endemic to that region.

Duo Magazine the latest publication to come out of Queensland lists the Antique Kimono seat/table as one of it's 'Loves'. 

The latest installment in our Scandinavian craft series is this 'Nordic Needlework' seat/table. Inspired by women's traditional embroidery patterns and cosy wood lined Nordic interiors these neutral earthy tones have been selected to compliment the natural wood grain.

Tarnagulla Primary School, Loddon Shire, Central Victoria, Australia

Prep to grade 3 students from the Tarnagulla Primary School, Country Victoria are our youngest artists to work on Zaishu slot-together seats and tables. The basis of their artwork will be animals and the noises they make shown in speech bubbles. This is a Community Building Arts Initiative, with Arts Officer Kerry Punton.

Zaishu and Spacecraft are combining their skills to fit out the Central Bar with 10 one-off slot-together seats at this year’s designEX. Although only a temporary installation the bar would not look out of place in a gallery or museum.

Streetlab, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The Amsterdam Zaishu seats/tables will be available at the REAL affordable art fair run by Streetlab – a Dutch platform for young street fashion designers and artists. Streetlab encourages cross-platform and cross-cultural collaboration through organizing exhibitions, parties and festivals in and around Amsterdam, a perfect Zaishu fusion.

The handpainted 'Footprints Zaishu' seats/tables created at the MCA workshop will be exhibited and available for sale at Blank Space, opening on Thursday 26 March 6-8pm. All proceeds support Oxfam's work helping communities find sustainable ways to overcome poverty. This is a collaborative effort between Oxfam Australia's Youth Engagement Program and curator Trent Jansen. Reduce your carbon footprint to a tiptoe.

The Museum of Contemporary Art, 10am-4pm, Sydney Harbour foreshore, Australia

Zaishu is on show with 'Footprints' an exhibition of Australian artists and designers responding to environmental issues through their work. Accompanying the launch on the MCA terrace will be a live 'Footprints Zaishu Project' held on the front lawn of the MCA. Impressed by the artistic touch, the Style Hunters at Home Beautiful are racing to get hold a limited edition 'Equine' Zaishu seat/table designed in collaboration with Angus McDonald. Angus is one of Australia’s most collectible and burgeoning talents, his still-life paintings and large chalk drawings of bulls, cows and horses are contemporary in nature but clearly influenced by a respect and affection for classical realism.
